Moderation and logs
Omni gives your moderators warnings, timeouts, bans and cleanup tools, and keeps a log of what happens on the server.
Moderation commands
/warn add: warns a member and DMs them. Warnings expire after 30 days by default./timeout add: mutes someone for 10 minutes up to 28 days./kick,/ban addand/ban tempfor a ban that lifts itself./mod purge: deletes up to 200 messages, filtered by member, links, images, bots and more./mod note: private notes about a member that only staff see.
Automatic punishments
Set what happens when warnings add up, for example a timeout at 3 warnings and a ban at 5. Use the dashboard's Moderation page or:
/warn settings at-count:3 action:Timeout duration:1h
Logs
The moderation log records bans, kicks, timeouts and warnings. The server log records everything else: deleted and edited messages, joins and leaves, role and nickname changes, voice, channels, invites and more.
/config mod-logs channel:#mod-log /eventlogs setup channel:#server-log
On the dashboard's Logs page you can switch each kind of log on or off, send it to its own channel, and skip noisy channels or roles.
Member reports
Members can report a message or a user: right-click it, then Apps → Report message or Report user. Reports go to your reports channel, or the mod log if you haven't set one. Moderators can delete the message, warn or time out the member, or claim the report, all from buttons on the report.
/settings reports channel:#reports
Share bans between servers
Run several servers? Ban sync shares bans across up to 15 of them. One admin creates a pool and the others join it with its code:
/ban sync create name:My network /ban sync join code:…
Choose whether each server shares bans, receives them, or both. Put -nosync in a ban reason to keep that one ban local.
